The landmarks of Tamsui are the Tamsui River and Guanyin Mountain, which complement each other really well. This painting mainly takes the mountains to show how the Taiwanese rely firmly on families and their continuous history from generation to generation. The bright-colored rocks and different varieties of green trees against sedate colors show the luxuriance and renaissance of the life of the mountains, just like the prosperity and well-being of each family.

A lot of waves and reflected light rays are used in the drawing of Tamsui River to present the people’s struggling for a better life, which shows the Taiwanese value and work hard for their families. The riot of colors represents there is an abundant harvest after the hard work.

The Tamsui series shows the importance of families to people. The fruits of cultivation and labor of families are a virtue to the next generation. This series is composed of 3 100×100cm oil paintings, showing the features of rivers and mountains of Tamsui respectively.

淡水是北臺灣最重要的經濟發源地，也是北臺灣早期生活的命脈。淡水對於北臺灣的重要性，就像每個家對於人的重要性;淡水生產與乳養起初發展的北臺灣社會，就像是每個家如何顧惜人一樣。
一直到現今雖然社會經濟結構轉變，淡水河沿岸所存留下來的居民依舊可以看見他們仰賴這條河川的生活方式，這種對於地方的依附性使我想起每個家對於人的重要故此創作臺灣淡水系列紀念家對於每個人的重要。
作品內容：
淡水的地標不外乎淡水河與觀音山的美麗呼應，這次的創作手法以山為主體展現台灣人對於家穩固的依賴與代代相連的延續歷史。色調採用穩重的色系點綴鮮艷的岩石與不同樹種綠色調，表現出帶有山生命的繁茂復興，猶如每個家庭的興旺與豐富。
淡水河的使用許多的波浪線條與陽光反射光線呈現出為著生活努力，為著家庭的成長勞苦的支持與奮力的生活，表現出台灣人民對於家庭的重視與為著家庭的成員所的擺上的辛勞。繽紛的色系一面說出這些辛勞背後有美麗的收穫與善美的結果。
淡水系列紀念家對於人的重要性，家培育與勞苦的結果將是對於下一代的美善。
淡水系列由三張100x100cm的油畫組成，每張都是一個作品，分別展現淡水地區的河與山的特色。
